Measured the entire space and then divided it by the number of stripes I wanted PLUS ONE. Measured all the way across. Taped it off. What I learned from this is that you need to pull the tape off the SECOND you are done painting. If you wait for it to dry you it will stick to the tape and paint will peel off... :(After
